I love the end of your article. I was thinking of how Jewish people have a unifying culture and how magnificant it is- regardless of where you are in the world, you have a special connection. It is humbling to me how your faith makes my faith possible and beautiful. Thank you and may God's face shine upon you.

it's interesting you mention that. Today, Fareed Zakaria spoke about the returning wave of people in the country who want one kind of 'people.' In addition to the Jews, he mentioned the Irish who came here and were discriminated against, homes burnt, and killings. 'The Gangs of New York' is a great movie about Bill the Butcher and his belief that the Irish who came in the 1800's were inferior. "The Know Nothing Party was a political party in the United States (also known as the American Party and the Native American Party) that existed from 1851 to 1858. The party was a reaction to the sectional crisis over slavery and was fueled by religious prejudice and political hostility.
