A story like this sure felt personal. Anyone with any empathy for humanity should feel it very personally. I'm so glad Eva has had a good life.

My parents once met one of the doctors who flew on the Entebbe mission. He was born inside a death camp and the women kept him alive and hidden until they were liberated. Some people's stories are truly unbelievable.

The Holocaust is the story pertinent to the history of antisemitism, in particular. However, the capacity for future holocausts lies within all of us since Adam and Eve were expelled from Paradise. The greatest feat of Satan is convincing us he doesn’t exist.

My mother was deported to Mauthausen, together with her parents and three siblings, when she was 16 years old. I believe that she mentioned that they knew about a couple of babies who were born in the camp. I wonder whether Eva was one of them… Her mother died of typhoid at the DP camp after their liberation. I was born 3.5 years later. My name is Eva. So yes, this story affected me personally. Thank you.
