I'm Headed To Boulder
“He said he wanted them all to die. He had no regrets. And that he would do it again.” Among the 12 victims, an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor.

I refuse to write down the name of the wack job charged with 16 counts of attempted murder for his antisemitic assault on yesterday’s Run For Their Lives rally. I am not going to contribute to this ghoul’s pathetic stab at martyrdom.
But I am going to drive to Boulder, Colorado for this Sunday’s rally.
I don’t understand why would-be Palestinian supporters — like this man and last month’s Washington D.C. killer — continue to yell “Free Palestine!” instead of “Free Palestine from Hamas!” When you are controlled by terrorists who will never negotiate peace, there will be no peace.
I don’t understand how a human being can take a blowtorch and literally set innocent people on fire. This ill animal also threw Molotov cocktails at his targets — and he had another 16 explosives that he didn’t get to use.

There are lots of things I don’t understand. But I do know how to use iMaps to get to Boulder.
A few hours after the suspect was arrested for his heinous assault, one of my friends texted me the following:
Michael,
I’m sickened by the latest attack on the Jewish community in Boulder and just want to let you know that I’m thinking of you and all your brethren. I stand with you and the Jewish community, my friend. I’m so sorry this is happening. Don’t know what else to do, but wanted you to know, you are loved and we have your back on this.
Peace,
MC
I don’t know what else to do either, so I’m going to Boulder.
I was planning on writing an article today about this date in history being the Yahrzeit of both King David and Rabbi ben Eliezer (the Baal Shem Tov). But I couldn’t. My attention span is captive to one thing. One prodigiously stupid act of terrorism.
This afternoon, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado, J. Bishop Grewell, explained why the suspect was being charged with a federal hate crime. Grewell said that in the interview the suspect gave to authorities, he admitted that he wanted to “kill all Zionist people.” Grewell then added:
“He said he wanted them all to die. He had no regrets. And that he would do it again.”
Run For Their Lives is an organization with chapters in countries around the world. Run’s stated mission is simple:
“A vital global movement dedicated to bringing home hostages, including babies and children, taken to Gaza by Hamas.”
The walks each week are geared strictly toward drawing attention to the hostages. Run was started by Shany Klein, an attorney in California, immediately after the Hamas assault and abductions on October 7. That was 604 days ago.
The organizers and local folks who’ve been showing up for the last 86 weeks certainly don’t need my presence on Pearl Street this Sunday. Once again, they will faithfully march on behalf of their fellow Jews.
But I want to be there. With people I do not know but love. In Boulder. So that’s where I’m going.

There are creeps all over the world. Thank you for sharing your plans. We in Israel just finished celebrating Shavuot. It is common to see young fathers at the park or strolling their children with a rifle slung over a shoulder. We are on the front lines, true, but it is gratifying to know that our brethren afar get what this is about. I never heard of Run for Their Lives till now. I have a couple of Jewish acquaintances in Boulder, I hope they show up too. I hope a defiant throng shows up. #amyisraelchai
